Behold, Thou Art Here

In summer's heat, the pleasant warmth
And cooling breezes troop ahead of
Thunderclouds.
I watch the rain fall, slanting, carried
With the wind as lightning flashes,
Thunder crashes.
Though time seems stretched, an infinite
I'm mesmerized, awed in knowing
You are here.
In autumn's colors, ever-changing
Windy breezes push, rebuke my
Summer's warmth.
Yet leaves are dancing, rhapsodizing
Calling me, enchanting with their
Calming grace.
As changes come, prepared for
Wintry rest, a frigid sleep, my
Thoughts reflect
For You direct and changes come
I'm mesmerized, awed in knowing
You are here.
In winter's rest, of blankets
Frozen, brightly colored, palest
Shade of wool.
Forgotten footprints here and there
Reminding me that life existed, again that
It would come.
As many years ago, You overcame
The sleep of death, so would this season
Here I know.
I'm mesmerized, awed in knowing
You are here.
In spring's bright youth, the joy abounds
As birdsong lifts my heart up
To the sky.
The glowing sun combats the cotton clouds,
Lighting up the life that's moving
Down below.
I sit amidst the colored blossoms
Feeling love abound within my
Weary heart,
For in the simplest seasons I had
Seen Your face reflected.
I'm mesmerized, awed in knowing
You were always here.
